Accounts Assistant Apprentice at Riley Moss in Manchester
A full-time vacancy (35 hours a week) at a corporate accountancy firm with offices in Preston and Manchester. The successful applicant will be able to gain valuable accounting experience with an aim to complete the AAT course. Full training will be provided and the role will involve helping the accounts team and taking part in basic accountancy and bookkeeping work.
The role will also involve assisting the administrative team with day to day office tasks including secretarial work, answering telephone calls, typing, post out etc, raising invoices to clients, liaising with accounts teams and recording messages/notes.
This is a great developmental opportunity to gain experience in an established and successful accountancy practice working with a range of clients in different business sectors. There are plenty of opportunities for advancement for the successful applicant. Riley Moss is partner-led, therefore the training will be directly from senior members of the Riley Moss team. Working hours per week
Excellent keyboard skills and the attention to detail and accuracy. Strong and effective written and numerical skills. Numerical, with an analytical approach. Computer literate with experience of using Microsoft Excel and Word.
Past experience with use of Microsoft software including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. High level of mathematical skills. Desirable to have had past office work experience in an accountancy/finance environment.
Personal Qualities Required
Honest, punctual, corporate, professional, smart, good attendance, well organised, polite and able to work towards deadlines
GCSE’s A* – C – (minimum of 6 GCSE’s with Maths & English at a minimum of C)
AS/A Levels preferable but not essential.

This role can be lead on to our ACCA/ACA trainee programme (full-time employment). Future senior roles could be available if full training is completed.
