Apprentice Content Producer

Job Description

 

Working as part of our in-house Talent and Attraction Team, we are looking for a Junior Content Producer to help develop, produce, promote high-quality digital content on behalf of our academies, and Harris Federation.

You will be responsible for writing and producing a range of helpful and informative content to be used for recruitment advertising/branding purposes, across various online platforms in order to achieve specific objectives as part of our wider talent attraction strategy. This position demands a keen, creative eye and an ability to develop persuasive advertising content.

We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in working in the education sector, has a flair for creative writing, and has a love for all forms of media (written, video, social and podcasts). We want someone who is passionate about creating engaging, informative and persuasive digital content that teachers and the wider education community need.

Reporting to the Head of Talent & Attraction, your duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Researching engaging, challenging and informative topics relating to Education, with a particular focus on teacher recruitment and development.
  • Liaising with academies to gather recruitment related content for articles, blogs and website news.
  • Produce a library of highly engaging, informative and prescriptive e-mail communications used through the recruitment application and selection process.
  • Understand the user experience to ensure content is maximising engagement.
  • Monitor and update the Harris Careers website copy, and help produce the relevant content required for individual academy websites.
  • Develop a library of friendly, easy to read, yet high impact job advert templates
  • Contribute to our wider social media advertising and networking
  • Work with internal and external points of contact for content planning, development, writing and editing of content across a range of digital and traditional media
  • Help with the formatting of digital content for use via online and print
  • Help produce Key Information content to aid with a friendly application experience
  • Working closely with marketing teams to ensure well-planned marketing campaigns
  • Repurposing content along particular themes in written and video formats
  • Tagging and adding metadata to improve SEO
  • Research information for digital communications.
  • Recommend the appropriate platform/s or channel/s to use for the campaign.
  • Storyboard and script ideas
  • Capture images and audio using basic video, still cameras and audio equipment.
  • Use industry standard packages to edit and post-produce content.

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Up to date knowledge of social media technologies.
  • Previous experience in an in-house talent acquisition, communications, or marketing team is essential.
  • Experience of working with multiple teams and running multiple assignments/projects
  • High degree of independence and self-motivation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and excellent time management and project skills

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Education industry and an understanding of Primary / Secondary academy environments would be advantageous.

Key Organisational Objectives:

The post holder will contribute to the Federation’s objectives in service delivery by:

  • Acknowledging customer care and quality initiatives
  • Commitment and contribution to improving standards for pupils within the school as appropriate
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a caring and stimulating environment for pupils.
