About the apprenticeship:
You will spend four days per week working at adam&eveDDB, and spend the remaining 20% of your time studying towards the ‘Junior Content Producer’ apprenticeship training standard. This will be a mixture of classroom learning, online learning, projects and meetings with your tutor. Through the training, you will learn content planning, content development, writing, storyboarding, capturing and editing of content across a range of digital and traditional media, formatting for distribution of content via web or print, evaluation of success of a campaign and a broad understanding of the media landscape.
For the first six months of your placement, you’ll work within our Project Management team to get a thorough understanding of the agency and the advertising process. You’ll then spend six months working in Integrated Production, followed by three months in cain&abel, our content division.
About the role:
When working within the Project Management department, you will be supporting the Project Managers who manage the agency and client workflows, including the creation of multichannel timing plans and maintenance of client status reports as necessary, planning and managing agency resources throughout the project lifecycle, and managing the project scope and retainers. You will also be involved with supporting the creative development process.
When working in Integrated Production you will assume the role of an Integrated Assistant Producer. This role is varied and typically works across each of the following media disciplines: stills, film and digital (and by their very nature, those mediums can also stray into experiential, events and more). The Integrated Assistant Producer is expected to learn the craft through assisting the more experienced Producers and also working autonomously where necessary, quickly becoming a key cog in each of the campaigns that they work across. As Integrated Assistant Producers become more experienced, they will become intrinsic to a successful campaign production and delivery, often replied upon to work across all media disciplines simultaneously and being the hub for everything that happens within the campaign project.
For TV and Print Production, you will follow every aspect of a production, including attending agency, production company/photographer and client meetings, film and print shoots and a range of pre-production sessions (casting, location recce, wardrobe calls, model makers) and post production sessions (retouching, print design/artworking, editors, post production, sound, music). For digital production, you will be involved in projects such as banners, digital out of home, email, web build, mobile app and social media.
You will be required to take instruction from the Producer you are assigned to and will be expected to carry out a range tasks for them including:
- Booking post production and sound studio session times
- Leading voice-over and music searches
- Compiling production documentation
- Writing meeting notes
- Enquiring about director and photographer availability
- Booking flights and accommodation for foreign shoots
- Creating timing plans and estimates
- Carry out the occasional department task
During your time in production, you will understand the needs of the Producers and support them through the production process, ensuring all production files are up to date with correct documents, as well as being responsible for the admin and finance side of production. You will liaise with Business Affairs for items related to talent, insurance, playouts and billing and ensure fact sheets/completion reports are completed and checked by the Producer for every project and filed.

Services include filming, editing, 2d & 3d animation, photography, graphics, infographics, website design, games, mobile and tablet apps, as well as post production and broadcast supply. When working in cain&abel, you will be expected to cover the following aspects:
- Attend & assist with pre-production meetings
- Location finding and recces.
- Assist with budgets getting quotes
- Updating checklists regarding all of the production tasks
- Aid producers and production assistants as a runner on set
- (Working as a runner is a great opportunity to learn about all roles on a shoot)
- You will aid in photography shoots. Setting up lighting, cleaning lenses and organising kit.
- Ingest footage to the server and organise footage according to best practises
- Learn basic titling and motion graphics in after effects and illustrator.
- You may work on basic client showreels
What we are looking for:
You must have a passion for content creation! You will ideally already have produced and distributed your own content via; video, web, social media or print. You will have some skills and knowledge of content generation and editing, and a natural curiosity to learn more.
You need to be a confident communicator, comfortable in expressing your opinion but also knowing how to maintain a professional attitude and do what it takes to keep our clients happy.
You need be a great team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. You will also be comfortable working individually, willing to demonstrate your initiative, be actively open to ideas and enthusiastic.
