We have an exciting opportunity for an Information Systems Business Analyst Apprentice to join our technology team. Our Business Analyst Apprenticeship combines online learning, classroom training and on-the-job experience to develop advanced skills in Information Systems Business Analytics

Role Profile

You will be part of an agile team supporting our digital fashion retail business. To capture, analyse, validate and document business requirements at the start of a project or programme of work. The role plays a key part in projects that improve business operations through the correct use of information systems. The successful candidate will also act as a point of contact for the business with regard to questions, challenges or amendments to requirements throughout the project lifecycle

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • To assist the Business and Data teams with analysis of data requirements and preparation for programme and project cutovers.
  • To work within IT to gather estimates and conduct research and feasibility studies into system solutions for business problems or opportunities, feeding back to the business units as appropriate
  • To assist the Business and IT in the preparation of user and system test plans, test scenarios and test scripts to ensure the solution delivered meets the business requirements
  • Responsible for support and on occasion to lead workshops, to understand the needs of multiple stakeholders and to facilitate the negotiation of these needs into agreed requirements, working with other Business Analysts to complete actions.
  • To work within IT to gather estimates and conduct research and feasibility studies into system solutions for business problems or opportunities, feeding back to the business units as appropriate

What you will need to succeed:

IT experience would be advantageous but is not essential. We are looking for an inquisitive mindset, someone who enjoys problem-solving tasks and keen to create innovative solutions. You will also have good time-management skills along with the ability to work collaboratively with others towards business objectives.

We’re looking for an open-minded, flexible individual, who displays a positive attitude towards new challenges, a willingness to learn and embraces new technologies and business change.

You’ll need at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) of grades A*-C (or new grading of 4-9) including Maths, English and IT / Science. You will also need to possess A-Levels (or equivalent) in an ICT, Mathematics or Science related subject.

The apprenticeship starts in September 2018 so you’ll need to have finished full-time education by this date.
